In case of fire

๐Ÿงฏ

Call 112. Then get everyone out.

  1. Get everyone out. People first, everything else after.
  2. Close doors behind you โ€” they slow the fire and the smoke.
  3. If there's smoke, stay low or crawl: the clean air is near the floor.
  4. Do not go back inside for anything.
Why it matters

The extinguisher โ€” only if the fire is small and the exit is behind you

Pull the pin ยท aim at the base of the fire, not the flames ยท squeeze the handle ยท sweep side to side.

Burning oil or fat: never water. Water spreads the fire. Cover the pan with a lid and turn off the gas. Same for electrical appliances โ€” unplug first, if you can do that safely.

Burns

Hold the area under cool running water for 20 minutes. The sooner the better โ€” but it still helps if started up to 3 hours later. No ice, no creams, no ointments. Don't break blisters. Cover with a clean cloth afterwards.

If someone isn't breathing

Call 112 and let the operator guide you. They'll walk you through it step by step on the phone until help arrives.

Once you're out

Stay in a safe place, away from the building, and count everyone. Wait for the fire service and tell them if anyone is missing. Don't go back in until they say it's safe.
